The Moreton Bay Youth Rugby Academy (MBYRA) is a not‑for‑profit organisation committed to providing equitable access to high‑quality rugby development for young people aged 10–18 across the Moreton Bay region. With most advanced coaching clinics, specialist programs, and representative pathways based in Brisbane, many local families face barriers to accessing the same level of opportunity.
MBYRA exists to bridge that gap.
In Year One, we deliver free community‑based development clinics and enter teams in selected domestic youth events, with a strong focus on female engagement and participation. Our programs build core skills, confidence, and long‑term player growth in a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
In Year Two, MBYRA expands to international touring and male participation, creating clear representative pathways that allow Moreton Bay youth to compete at leading Asia‑Pacific events and experience rugby beyond their local community.
Our mission is simple: remove barriers, develop talent, and create genuine pathways for Moreton Bay youth.
